Types of Wood Adhesives
There are four main categories of construction & wood adhesives:
- Polyurethane adhesives such as our SabreFix PU are very highest strength adhesives, ideal for bonding different materials, including wood, metal, and plastics, in applications requiring long-term structural bond strength and durability in exterior conditions.
- Rubber-based adhesives such as our SabreFix PS provide a strong bond and are a good all-around solvent adhesive for bonding wood and most construction surfaces, in applications requiring fast initial grab.
- Water-based adhesives such as our SabreFix WB are low-cost, environmentally friendly and easy to clean, making them suitable for indoor applications, such as fixing plasterboard to wooden framing.
- Instant adhesives such as our MitreFast provide a quick and easy bonding solution for small projects, ideal for woodworking, carpentry, and other applications that require a fast-drying adhesive.

Applications of Construction & Wood Adhesives
Sabre’s construction and wood adhesives have a wide range of applications. Here are some examples of how these adhesives are used:
