SabreSeal MS Facade Sealant, one of the bestselling products of our MS Sealant Collection, is a versatile and high-performance Silyl Modified Polymer (MS) sealant that can be used for sealing joints in various materials, including concrete, metal, glass, aluminium, timber, and many plastics. Specifically designed for both indoor and outdoor applications, SabreSeal MS Facade Sealant is an excellent choice for joint sealing, facade cladding, joinery, tilt panel, and lap joints on flashing and roofing materials. In addition, this sealant can be painted with most water-based paints, making it an ideal choice for a range of applications.

SabreSeal MS Facade Sealant also exhibits exceptional UV stability and has been independently tested by BRANZ for durability in New Zealand’s harsh environmental climate, making it a reliable concrete joint sealant that can withstand the test of time.

How to Use

  • Method

    Manual or pneumatic caulking gun.

  • Application Temperature

    +5°C until +35°C

  • Substrate Preparation

    Ensure substrates are clean, dry and free of dust and grease.

  • Priming

    Critical applications such as multi-story buildings or exposed areas should be primed for optimal adhesion and durability. Prime porous concrete, AAC, and timber with Sabre Primer PX – leave to flash off for 30 min. Powder-coats & metals will require a light abrasion then be wiped with Sabre Surface Activator and left to flash off for 5-10 mins.

  • Tooling

    Soapy solution before skin formation.

Is SabreSeal MS Façade paintable?

SabreSeal MS Facade Sealant can be painted with most water-based paints. it should be noted that a wide variety of brands and chemical composition of water-based paints systems are available. It is therefore recommended that technical advice be obtained from the paint manufacturer and/or a limited-on site trial be undertaken prior to full application.

Do surfaces need to be primed before applying SabreSeal MS Façade?

SabreSeal MS Façade has excellent primerless adhesion to most common building materials. Critical applications such as multi-story buildings or exposed areas should be primed for optimal adhesion and durability. If you are unsure, conduct prior compatibility tests prior to full application, or contact Sabre technical support department for assistance.
