FAQs

Is SabreBond SMP50 UV Stable?

Yes. SabreBond SMP50 has excellent UV stability and incorporates a unique ‘stay-white’ formula, preventing yellowing or discolouration over long periods of exposure.

Does SabreBond SMP50 adhere to polyethylene or polypropylene?

No. Preliminary surface treatment is required before bonding to polyethylene or polypropylene. Please contact Sabre to advise the best surface treatment method for your application.

Will the SabreBond SMP50 adhere to timber?

It depends. There is a lot of variety in the types of timber materials, and we recommend initial compatibility tests. If the material is highly porous, we would recommend a primer such as our Sabre Primer PX.

Can I use SabreBond SMP50 for bonding and for sealing?

Yes. SabreBond SMP50 combines excellent strength properties with a medium modulus viscosity, allowing for great tooling properties in sealing applications.
